Portsmouth asked to sign the player on a season-long loan deal for a fee
of £500.000 or to sign the player permanently for a fee of £3million.
There was another option to sign the player on a permanenr basis for
£2million but Zamalek have the right to get 50% if the player transfered
from Portsmouth to another club.
Zamalek wanted to keep the player to help the team achieve the league
title which is the first priority for Zamalek fans and the club board
this season.

rejected Portsmouth bid to sign Amr Zaky before the transfer window closes on
Tuesday.
Sulaiman Al Fahim the new owner of Portsmouth FC, has expressed his desire to
complete the signing of the Egypt star Amr Zaky. Al Fahim sent an official offer
to Zamalek SC with many options subject to Zamalek's board choice. Zamalek saw
that the offer is not good enough to let the player go and delayed any offers
for Zaky to January or until the end of the season.
